The following infographic from Lucify shows the current flow of immigration from Eastern Europe, Africa, and Asia into Western Europe according to data from the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR). It shows the biggest migration of people into Western Europe since WWII.
Note: Without venturing too far into the politics of the issue, the infographic is describing all of the immigrants represented as asylum seekers. Given that it shows ‘asylum seekers’ coming from virtually every country in Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe (including many within the EU), and shows people moving between western European countries such as France, Germany, and Sweden, ‘asylum seeker’ seems to be an expedient which applies to some but not all of the immigration shown.
