Amid spiraling violence between India and Pakistan, fears are growing of a large scale military conflict in the long-disputed Kashmir region. Following an attack which killed 40 Indian soldiers, allegedly by a Pakistan based terror group, India launched a series of airstrikes in Pakistan. Pakistan in turn shot down two Indian jets, capturing one pilot, and began shelling the Line-of-Control between the two countries.

With the threat of war looming between the two nuclear powers, the following chart from Statista shows the military balance of power. India holds a significant lead in nearly every category, a fact which will hopefully dissuade tit-for-tat escalation by Pakistan.
