The world according to Dutch engraver, publisher, and globe maker, Pieter Van Den Keere in 1608:

The border of the map includes illustrations of the seven wonders of the world, the six planets known at the time plus the moon, the seasons, and the four elements. North America was still fairly amorphous territory.
