From decades of industrial scale forced organ harvesting of political prisoners to the internment of over a million religious minorities in labor camps, the most egregious crimes against humanity of our era are being committed in Communist China right now.

If that’s news to you, it’s because the West has long entertained the delusion that China’s economic rise, enabled by decades of self-depreciating policies from the US and Europe, is somehow part of a liberal global economic order.

Pointing out these egregious crimes and making the case that Americans and others need to stop pretending nothing is deeply amiss within China is Sam Brownback, US Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom, in a recent discussion with The Epoch Times.
