A photo of a zeppelin flying behind the Empire State Building as it’s being constructed. Although it appears that the zeppelin is docking on the Empire State building, it is not. Nonetheless, the top of the building was designed with the intent of docking zeppelins, then believed to be the transport of the future. High winds made the concept unworkable.
