Roughly 85% of the world’s fertilizer is made using ammonia feedstocks, feedstocks which are themselves derived mostly from natural gas.
Natural gas prices remain near multi-year highs in the US after hitting record highs in other parts of the world a few weeks ago as robust global demand hits up against endless efforts by Western governments and policy makers to suppress natural gas production in pursuit of misguided environmental policies.
