Steve Eisman, fund manager at Neuberger Berman and investing legend from the Global Financial Crisis, gave an exceedingly rare interview to the ‘Odd Lots’ Bloomberg podcast. He talks about his outlook on the markets, an outlook which hinges around his belief that we are going through a “paradigm shift.” That paradigm shift, away from mega-cap tech stocks towards something as of yet unknown but presumably less growth oriented, is contingent upon the Fed holding rates at these new highs, something he sees as likely. Beyond that, he argues that we are not facing a financial crisis but rather a ‘run-of-the-mill’ recession.
