The following image was captured by NASA’s OSIRIX-REx Asteriod Sample Return Mission as it departs Earth on its way to explore asteroid Bennu. It shows the Earth and Moon in one perfect shot.
It’s worth noting that the Moon and Earth are not on the same plane in this photo. As a result, the moon appears slightly closer to Earth than it actually is. Needless to say, it’s a big universe out there.
