The following map shows the vast expanses of the seafloor that still remain unmapped. The map is according to Seabed 2030, an organization attempting assimilate all known bathymetric data to create a single definitive map of the world’s seafloor by 2030, instead of relying on satellite gravity data to infer topography as we currently do.
Lest one believe that we’ve run out of room for exploration, most of the terrain of Planet Earth remains unexplored and unmapped.
