Despite decades of enormous hype and trillions of dollars of investment, wind and solar remain a tiny portion of humanity’s energy consumption. Make of that what you will, but any plan to reduce carbon emissions that doesn’t rest on coal-to-gas switching and nuclear is just a bill of goods.
