Dr. Anas Alhajji, creator of Energy Outlook Advisors, recently spoke with Macro Voices‘ Erik Townsend about his outlook for the energy market in light of the increasing risk of a regional war in the Middle East. Having essentially correctly called oil so far this year, Dr. Alhajji remains fairly muted in his expectations for an additional ‘war premium’ in oil. Nonetheless, he does see a bigger impact for natural gas due to Israeli’s gas fields coming off-line and the end of any plans to build a natural gas pipeline from the Eastern Mediterranean to Europe:
