The following video-graphic, from Reddit creator JCC Eagle, shows the ‘market share’ of global currencies reserves by demonization since 1900, highlighting the decline of the British Pound after the end of World War I, the resurgence of the Pound during the depression and World War II, and the subsequent volatility in US Dollar dominance post-World War II. The current level of US Dollar reserves, about 59%, is low for the post-war era but not as low as in the 1980s.
