To virtually zero media coverage, the outgoing State Department has made the historic declaration that the CCP’s treatment a Uyghurs in China amounts to a genocide, noting that several international investigations have determined that the CCP is committing:
“The arbitrary imprisonment or other severe deprivation of physical liberty of more than one million civilians, forced sterilization, torture of a large number of those arbitrarily detained, forced labor, and the imposition of draconian restrictions on freedom of religion or belief, freedom of expression, and freedom of movement. The Nuremberg Tribunals at the end of World War II prosecuted perpetrators for crimes against humanity, the same crimes being perpetrated in Xinjiang.”
With the idea of a ‘cooperative’ relationship with China coming back into vogue, The Epoch Times’ Jan Jekielek spoke with Gary Bauer and James Carr of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom. They detail the expansive evidence of genocide and human rights abuses ongoing in China right now and highlight the ridiculous notion that the appropriate response should be a warming of diplomatic and trade relations.
