Legendary investor Stanley Druckenmiller, arguably the most successful fund manager alive today, who produced average annual returns of 30% from 1986 to 2010 without a single down year, has long warned about the collision of snowballing unfunded entitlements for seniors (Social Security & Medicare) and an aging population. He recently spoke to USC Marshall to outline his concerns in the most detailed discussion on the subject yet. Unfortunately a version of the video with the charts he references has not yet emerged.
The discussion doesn’t lend itself to excerpts, so enjoy it in full above. The only thing we’ll add is that we couldn’t agree more.
