For the first time ever, Spain has joined the club of countries whose 10-year soveriegn bonds trade at zero yield.
For those wondering, countries who’s 10-year bonds are currently trading below zero now include: Germany, Japan, France, Portugal, Belgium, Austria, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Among the excuses for low persistent growth in the Eurozone, the cost of capital is simply not one.
