Having shared similar video maps detailing the history of Africa, Europe, North and South America, and the Middle East, today’s ‘Map of the Day’ details every year in the history of South Asia.
From YouTube creator Ollie Bye, the following video-map begins in 3300 BC, at the dawn of the Harappan Civilization in present day Pakistan, and continues until preset day. While not particularly well known in the West, the Indian subcontinent has been home to a string of large empires and civilizations including: the Nanda Empire, Maurya Empire, Gupta Empire, and the Mughal Empire.
