As part of our ongoing series of video maps, the following map shows every earthquake around the world from January 1st, 2001 to December 21st, 2015. Notable earth quakes which can be observed in the video include: the 2001 Gujarat earthquake in India (0:10 in the video), the 2004 Indian earthquake and tsunami (0:58 in the video), the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake off the coast of Japan that caused the Fukushima nuclear disaster (2:14 in the video), and the 2015 Nepal earthquake (3:03 in the video).
