As part of our ongoing series of historical video-maps, we present: ‘The History of Africa Every Year.’ The following video begins with the start of Egyptian Civilization in 1600 BC and runs until 2016 and the establishment of South Sudan, the world’s youngest country. It is remarkable to compare and contrast the map of Africa before and after the 1880s as the ‘Scramble for Africa‘ began and European powers began dividing up the continent.
